Brethren

We held a very successful on 6 June and I am sending you a copy of the report and photograph which appeared in the Cambridge Evening News of 9 June.

Representatives of 25 non-masonic charities attended a buffet supper and cheque presentation at Freemason's Hall, Bateman Street, Cambridge.  The cheques being presented were grants which had been made by The City and University of Cambridge Masonic Charitable Trust, The Province of Cambridgeshire Charity for Care and Relief, Cantabrigia Royal Arch Chapter and Cambridge & Isle of Ely Chapter Rose Croix.  Some of the grants had been matched by The Grand Charity enabling the Provincial Grand Master to distribute £35,000 as mentioned in the report.

An exhibition of Masonic history and regalia proved to be of great interest to the guests.  Many took the opportunity to have a guided tour of the Hall.
