A very warm welcome to the Province of Cambridgeshire Website which is packed with very useful facts and important dates for the coming year so that we can all organise and enjoy our Masonic lives to the full.

I have often stressed that enjoyment should be an essential element of freemasonry, and I make no apology for repeating myself now, but of course there are serious responsibilities as well - particularly the responsibilities of upholding our traditions and high moral values, and also of ensuring that we pass on to future generations of masons a strong, up to date and relevant fraternity.

This is a good opportunity for me to mention one of those traditions, and indeed our second Grand Principle, which of course is Relief or Charity; and to ask all the brethren of Cambridgeshire seriously to consider and to support in whatever way you can our Festival in 2012 for the Freemasons Grand Charity. We have had an excellent start but we now need to move up a gear or two. We can raise money and have fun doing it!
